Black Lung like dark

Caused by the inhalation of coal dust once and graphite black lung (common name) is a type of coal workers pneumoconiosis (CWP ), which affects the lungs by turning pink ( natural color ) to black , and responsible for the death of thousands of workers in coal mines ( and those who have had the misfortune of having been exposed to or for long periods of time).

Over a long period of time ( about 10 years) , dust accumulates in the lungs ( bronchioles accumulation is in the [ small airways in the lungs ] ) that gradually clogs the bronchioles and lungs turn black . This obstruction interferes with the air (breathing) input and the exchange of oxygen in the blood ( common symptoms of the disease begin to appear ) .

The symptoms of lung cancer are black as follows:

Chronic cough - After many years of coal dust accumulation in the lungs, chronic persistent cough begins to surface ( the first signs black lung is present). Bronchitis (inflammation of the bronchi) , and emphysema ( a smoking -related disease [ two respiratory problems ] ) can cause symptoms develop much faster. Chronic cough is a reflex triggered by airway trying to remove mucus and foreign bodies from the lungs .

Shortness of breath - Due to a strong accumulation of coal dust in the lungs, resulting restriction both inhaling and exhaling becomes important (dyspnea [ shortness of breath) . The people have been known to express an intense tightening of the chest with the feeling of suffocation .

Caplan syndrome - When black lung and rheumatoid arthritis become combined : Caplan syndrome (a disease [ autoimmune ] caused by the cells of the body attack the membranes of the joints ] ) may be experienced . Small bumps (nodules ) are formed due to inflammation caused respiratory tract ( a restriction of airflow [ breathing ] , symptoms similar to asthma, wheezing, and cyanosis [ blue discoloration abnormal / purple skin and mucous ] occur ) .

Progressive massive fibrosis ( PMF) - When black lung increased significantly, the development of PMF may occur (development of scar tissue leads to PMF) . The scar tissue typically measure about 10 mm in diameter , and is responsible for the destruction of both the lung tissue and blood vessels ( known breathlessness due to reduced oxygen levels in the bloodstream ) .

RMC is also responsible for other complications , such as high blood pressure in the artery where oxygenated blood is carried from the lungs to the heart (pulmonary heart right heart failure is due to the increase of pressure) - respiratory failure may also develop .

Note: mine workers workers / ex - mining , and workers who were exposed to either high levels of coal dust or graphite dust over long periods of time, should seek medical advice if any symptoms mentioned earlier are present.
